Bedrocks university cafeteria design service. We have just completed a new coffee shop at Leeds University in the Laidlaw Library – the first Caffè Nero to open on a university campus. The building’s modern lines and two-storey floor-to-ceiling windows gave us a fantastic space to work with. Reclaimed dressers, tables and chairs move the brand forward with a more independent look and feel, and a mix of industrial lighting complements the exposed concrete ceilings. Design elements bespoke to the site are local prints in antique frames, decorative metal screens and the chalk wall filled with library-themed quotes ranging from Albert Einstein to Ron Weasley and local lad Alan Bennett.
