During the past year Bedrock, along with many other businesses, has had plenty of time to reflect on what is important in life, of which a large part is how and where we work. The team at Bedrock is well-used to flexible and remote working due to the nature of our industry, but whilst WFH we took the opportunity to look at our working day with fresh eyes.

It has been over 10 years since we relocated the studio from Hatton Garden to Northampton to improve the work/life balance of our staff. Due to the rapid advances in digital collaboration, there was less pressure to be London-based, so we headed up the M1 to benefit from Northampton’s excellent transport links. This time we have traded underused meeting rooms and storage space for wellbeing and community. The Blisworth Hill Business Park sits beside the pretty village of Blisworth and is conveniently located between Northampton and Milton Keynes. The site has been developed from converted farm buildings and has its very own staff gym, a large café space with outside seating, perfect for informal working, plus bookable meeting rooms and plenty of free parking.

We were also impressed with Blisworth Hill’s environmental creds; producing all its own green energy from crops grown on the farm, installing electric car charging points and providing access to free collections of Electronic Waste for recycling. A fantastic space for our office interior designers to create in.

And while Monty, our studio dog, is unimpressed with the Hayloft’s spiral staircase, the field walks on our doorstep more than makeup for it!
