Bedrock has been working with Caffè Nero in Northern Ireland since 2008, but with the expansion into the Republic of Ireland in 2013 we were asked to give the south it’s own unique take on the brand, with a greater emphasis on a local, more individual approach. We created the warmth and comfort of a cosy sitting room by introducing a mix of bespoke hand-carved back bars, eclectic reclaimed furniture, real fires and locally sourced pieces to make each coffee house unique. Traditional sign-writers are frequently used for storefront signage, and chalk artists create artwork for all ‘A’ boards, back of bar menus and coffee authority messages. The first ROI store opened in Merrion Row, Dublin in March 2014 – on St Patrick’s day, of course
