About This Project

Nexus is a new state-of-the-art building on the Leeds University Campus, home to a community of innovative scientific companies, with the Affine café sited in the reception area to act as a social hub. The café ambience and offer needed to be tailored to a professional and commercial audience, and support the university’s sustainability agenda with seasonal, freshly prepared food and specialist coffees. We designed a contemporary two-tone marble-clad front bar with brass detailing and used angled lines, light woods, copper finishes and splashes of colour to create a relaxed and welcoming environment. The University supplied the logo and a menu template from which we developed a family of menu boards plus POS for the counter and fridge areas.
