The Tregothnan Estate in Cornwall has been home to the Boscawen family since 1335 and is internationally known as the home of English tea. When Managing Director, Jonathon Jones, required an informal meeting room to showcase the estate’s teas he contacted Bedrock, having previously met John at a tea workshop. The site, a disused turkey loft, revealed original Cornish brick and oak beams, which we complemented with reclaimed French oak parquet floor tiles. Central to the room is a large reclaimed wood kitchen table and TV screen with a galley kitchen to the side. Half a dozen large clocks and the over-size teapot by the retail display wall playfully hint at the Mad Hatter’s tea party.
